What We Do

Backed by the city of Washington DC, the mission of MET FEST is to serve as the growth engine that fosters participation and interest in STEM education, and the Technology / Gaming / Esports industries among youth and young adults throughout the Greater Washington, DC region and the broader community of multi-cultural youth nationally who are interested in gaming entertainment and careers.

 

MET FEST features amateur, Pro-Am, high school, and collegiate Esports tournaments, open game play and activations centered around the most popular, brand safe, competitive video games. Met Fest will also feature college Esports programs and professionals in the gaming entertainment industry who  will offer information on college scholarships, educational and professional opportunities for gamers to level up their skills.

 

The highlight of both days of MET FEST will also feature an event-based livestream on the Met Fest Twitch channel and the DCE global streaming network, capturing interviews, highlights of competitions and live musical performances. Additional content will air on these networks after the event to give those who may have missed it the chance to experience the event and receive the information provided on career opportunities.
